Traffic Crash Involving a City Police Officer Being Investigated

Rochester police are still sorting out who is to blame for a traffic crash involving a city police officer.

It happened yesterday afternoon when the officer was driving north on Goodman Street and collided with a flatbed tow truck heading west on Bay.

The crash caused the tow truck to flip onto its side. The driver was OK, but the officer was taken to the hospital with what was described as "a lower body injury."

The officer is recovering.

Police have not released the officer's name.
