Nursing Home Search Delays Parole of Convicted Killer

Soon-to-be paroled convicted killer James Moore will have to live in a nursing home, and the search has delayed his release.

Moore is 89, and was granted parole in April for the 1962 rape and murder of 14-year-old Pamela Moss of Penfield.

13WHAM reports Moore is a recent double amputee from an infection behind bars in 2015.

His wife, Joyce, is hoping to find 24-hour nursing home care in Syracuse. She lives in Auburn and married Moore while she was a prison volunteer in the 1980s
