New York State Domestic Terrorism Task force Meeting Scheduled Today

Members of the New York State Domestic Terrorism task force are scheduled today to meet for the very first time.

The panel was created in 2020 and is composed of the State Police superintendent; the Division of Criminal Justice Services commissioner; and people appointed by the governor and the Legislature.

The mission of the task force is to evaluate, examine and determine how to prevent mass shootings by domestic terrorists.

The group is required to meet at least four times a year but has never met until now.
