Zeldin Chooses NYPD Officer as Running Mate

The frontrunner for the Republican nomination for governor has chosen a running mate.

Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin has chosen Alison Esposito, the commander of the New York Police Department's 70th Precinct.

Zeldin is one of four announced Republican candidates for governor.

The others are 2014 candidate Rob Astorino, Andrew Giuiliani, and businessman Harry Wilson.

The state Republican convention is Monday.
