More People Removed From Civic Center Garage Downtown

Rochester police say five more homeless people were removed last night from the Civic Center garage downtown.

Three were placed in temporary housing and two were sent to the hospital for mental health or substance abuse treatment.

That brings the total to ten people at the garage this week getting help from police, human services agencies and crisis teams.

Police say another 44 have been helped in the past few months.

Police say the nightly details will continue to provide as many people with services as possible.
