Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office say two schools in the Hilton School District were in lockout protocols Monday morning after a series of larcenies and break-ins nearby. The lockout applied to both Village Elementary School and Merton Williams Middle School. Deputies were called to the area of Collamer Road and Summertime Trail to investigate "multiple" burglary and larceny calls. They say at least five suspects were in custody. Deputies have not said if the suspects have any ties to Hilton.
