Race for the Open Irondequoit Supervisor's Seat Is Too Close to Call Yet

Incumbent Town Supervisors easily won re-election across Monroe County, but the race for the open Irondequoit Supervisor's seat was too close to call last night.

Democrat Joe Morelle Jr., the son of Congressman Joe Morelle, trailed Republican Rory Fitzpatrick 48 to 51 percent or just 380 votes.

That race will likely be decided by absentee ballots.

More than 500 absentee ballots have already been returned from voters in Irondequoit, and roughly 400 could still arrive in the mail.
