Governor Hochul says Pediatricians Throughout New York Should Get Ready

Governor Kathy Hochul says pediatricians throughout New York should get ready to administer COVID-19 vaccines to children.

She says her administration is now talking to pediatricians as well as other partners.

For now, she is not suggesting she will impose a vaccine mandate for school kids.

The governor also announced 21 new "Vax To School" pop-up sites at spots throughout the state, with the goal of getting more already eligible students vaccinated. Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says while he's always open to changing facts, he doesn't see a student vaccine mandate happening now or in the future.
