Rivera Sentenced to 15 Years for Selling Fetanyl

Tyquan Rivera

Tyquan Rivera is beginning his 15-year prison sentence on drug charges.

He was formally sentenced this morning and said nothing during the hearing.

Rivera pleaded guilty last month to charges he sold 40 decks of fentanyl to an undercover state trooper.

The sentence also resolves charges from his other recent arrests.

His criminal record includes the shooting and wounding of a Rochester police officer in 2009, when he was 14. He spent more than eight years in prison for that shooting and a parole violation.
