Pittsford CSD: Claims of Racist Taunts at Soccer Games Unfounded

The Pittsford Central School District says, after an investigation, allegations of racist taunts at two recent high school soccer games are unfounded. The incidents were alleged to happen on Tuesday, Sept. 28 and Wednesday, Sept 29th. Players from Greece Arcadia claimed they someone shouted racial slurs at both the Pittsford Mendon boys and girls soccer games. Superintendent of Schools Michael Pero said evidence does not support the serious allegations. Pero said the review included interviews with students, site supervisors, coaches, players and officials— as well as analysis of game audio and video recordings.
