Local Hospitals Say Over 99% of Employees Still Employed After VAX Mandate

The area's two big hospital networks say more than 99 percent of their employees are still employed, now that the state's COVID vaccine mandate is in effect.

For both systems, fewer than one percent of employees refused vaccination.

Both networks say they are continuing to pause some elective surgeries to reduce pressure on critical medical care services, and both say Emergency Room visitors may wait longer while more serious cases are seen first.
