RCSD Says They Are More Than 100 Drivers Short

The Rochester City School District says as of midday today, 317 students were left without a bus ride to school and back.

RCSD Superintendent Dr. Leslie Myers-Small says three more drivers left their jobs at Monroe Transportation and First Student, and that means the district is more than 100 drivers short of being able to transport all 31,000 of its students when school starts.

Myers-Small says the situation is changing literally by the hour.

She says the students who can't make it to school by bus or on their own will have to sign in through virtual instruction until transportation can be found for them.
