A Dansville man is accused of kidnapping and assault. James B. Hilligus, 47, allegedly threatened, held and transported a person against their will. He is also accused of assaulting another person with a knife and crowbar. The kidnapping victim was treated for injuries. Hilligus has been charged with felony second-degree assault and felony second-degree kidnapping. He is being held in the Steuben County Jail.
