Rochester Bumped to 4th Largest City in NYS

We've got mixed results from the 2020 Census, released this afternoon. We've done the math....and found that Monroe County's population has grown by two percent over the last ten years...to nearly 760-thousand people. That's a gain of more than 15-thousand.

Rochester also gained population, about 5,000 people. But that wasn't enough to keep Rochester the third largest city in New York State. We've been passed by Yonkers. They've got 211,569 residents. We've got 211,328 as of the cutoff on April 1st. That makes us #4 instead of the #3 position we've occupied for decades.
