Rochester Man Accused in U.S. Capitol Riots, Asking for Release on Bail

A Rochester man who is awaiting trial on federal charges in the riot at the U.S. Capitol is asking for his release on bail.

Reputed 'Proud Boy' Dominic Pezzola has filed a motion alleging his rights were violated when he was moved to a special housing unit and was denied hygiene supplies. He also claims he is not able to talk in private with his lawyers, and he says the government has not proved he is a flight risk.

Pezzola is charged with conspiracy, assault, impeding officers, civil disorder, obstruction and robbery -- among other charges.
