Early Voting in Monroe Co. Wraps Up, Primary Day Set for Tomorrow

Tomorrow is primary day, and a lot is on the line in the city of Rochester.

Mayor Lovely Warren is seeking a third term, but is facing a Democratic primary challenge from City Councilman Malik Evans.

Meantime, 16 Democrats are seeking the nominations for five at-large city council seats. Three incumbents are in a field that includes high-profile challengers Leticia Astacio, Miquel Powell and Stanley Martin -- among others.

Nine Democrats are running for three city school board seats. Four Democrats are running for three county court seats.

Meanwhile, nine days of early voting for tomorrow's primary are over. More than 5,100 voters cast ballots at 14 sites in Monroe County -- an average of 571 per day.

There are more than 489-thousand registered voters in the county.

Most of the primary races tomorrow are on the Democratic side, including contests for Rochester Mayor, City Council, and a number of Monroe County Legislative seats.
