MCSO Says Parma Missing Person's Case Led to Discovery of Remains

The search for a missing man in Parma, has led to the discovery of remains, presumed to be human bones.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says a missing person’s case out of Parma is now being treated as a murder investigation after the remains were discovered in a fire pit located on the property of William Mason.

Authorities have been searching for Mason since the end of May when he was reporting missing by family.

Chief Deputy Michael Fowler says they are working with the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Monroe County Crime Lab to identify the remains.

Authorities say they are investigating a couple leads and have two people of interest they are talking to.
