Marine Patrol Saves Kayakers Who Overturned on Canandaigua Lake

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says its Marine Patrol saved three kayakers who overturned Saturday on Canandaigua Lake.

The Sheriff’s Office says two civilian boaters also came to the rescue when a wave overturned a two-person kayak in the middle of the lake. A second one-person kayak upset trying to help the first two. First responders including the Cheshire Fire Department assisted at the scene.

One of the kayakers went to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua with a dislocated shoulder.
