Husband of Rochester Mayor Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren's husband, Timothy Granison, has pleaded not guilty to drug and firearm charges.

He's one of seven people arrested in an investigation into -- what the DA calls -- a midlevel cocaine operation.

Granison is accused of possessing a little more than an ounce of cocaine with intent to sell, and possessing an illegal handgun. He did not have to put up bail, under the state's bail reform law.

Warren's home was one of seven addresses that were searched yesterday and last night. One home is owned by Granison's brother.

The raids turned up four pounds of cocaine, three illegal handguns and $100,000 cash.

No drugs were found at Warren's home but police found a so-called assault rifle. It is not clear if the rifle is SAFE Act compliant.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley denies the investigation was politically motivated. She says it began months before anyone knew Granison was involved.
