Pools and Beaches Given the Green Light to Reopen in NYS

Pools and beaches around New York state can reopen on Memorial Day, so long as people stay six-feet-apart.

Governor Cuomo says the goal is to allow 100-percent capacity at these locations by July 4th.

Cuomo says if the numbers keep going in the right direction, it is more and more likely people will be able to enjoy a "normal summer."

He also notes that 50-percent of eligible New Yorkers have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

President Joe Biden has set a goal of having 70-percent of all Americans with at least one vaccine dose by July 4th.
