NYS Assembly Passes Legislation Expanding Access to Absentee Ballot Voting

The New York state Assembly has passed legislation that would expand access to absentee ballot voting in New York.

The constitutional amendment would remove the constitutional barrier to “no excuse” absentee ballots and allow voters to request absentee ballots online.

A second constitutional change would allow the Legislature approve voter registration on Election Day.

Both amendments will need voter approval.
