4th of July Fireworks Returning to Rochester

In a sign that the City of Rochester is getting back to normal, a Rochester City Council Committee Thursday afternoon unanimously recommended approval of funding for the city's annual Fourth of July fireworks show...AND a drone light show over downtown.

The finance committee recommended both measures to the full City Council for approval next week.

Mayor Lovely Warren said the Drone Show is a special addition this year, because the fireworks had to be canceled last year due to COVID-19. She says the drone show might become a regular feature of July 4th downtown...but Mayor Warren says that's a decision for another time.
