New Law Makes Absentee Ballots Available to Anyone in School Board Election

A new state law allows anyone to get an absentee ballot, for any reason, for the upcoming school board elections.

Applications for an absentee ballot must be submitted to the local school district by next Tuesday, and are due back the following Tuesday -- that's Election Day May 18th.

Last year all school board elections were conducted via mail only, leading to a steep increase in voter participation.
