Lakeville Man's Crime Spree Leads to Arrest

A Lakeville man is charged with a number of crimes after he stole a wallet and credit cards from an impounded car...and later shoved a woman out of his moving car after threatening her with a knife.

Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says 26-year-old Mark Hathaway is charged with felony grand larceny, identity theft, evidence tampering, attempted drug sale and reckless endangerment among other crimes.

He says Hathaway entered the sheriff's impound yard in Geneseo in February, broke into a car that was being held as evidence and stole a wallet with credit cards from that vehicle. Earlier this month, he shoved the woman out of his car after she spotted that the drugs he was trying to sell her were fake.

Hathaway was arrested last week.
