NYS to Lose One Congressional Seat

The US Census Bureau has announced New York will lose one Congressional seat.

The state will now have the 4th-most House seats in the nation at 26, falling behind Florida.

One less seat will be up for grabs in the midterms next year.

State lawmakers will now be in charge of drawing up new Congressional Districts.

According to reports, the state fell just 89 Census Report responses away from retaining all 27 seats.
