A 16-year-old youth has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Richard Sciascia (sha-sha).
Edgar Tolentino is charged by Gates Police with shooting Sciascia during an attempted carjacking April 7th on Buell Road. Tolentino was arraigned in Youth Part Court and is being held without bail for a preliminary hearing next Wednesday.
Police said Sciascia's killing was part of a string of carjackings across the Rochester area. A task force of some 30 officers continues to work on those cases.
