High School and College Graduations in New York Permitted this Spring

Governor Cuomo says high school and college graduations will be permitted this spring.

The governor says different capacities will be in play, depending on the size and type of gathering

An outdoor ceremony with more than 500 people in attendance will be limited to 20% of venue capacity.

A COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a recent negative test will be required to attend.

For indoor ceremonies of 151 attendees or more, 10% of venue capacity with vaccination or proof of a negative test required.

Cuomo says he's still encouraging virtual graduation ceremonies, but acknowledges New York's students deserve a break.
