Nearly 300 New COVID-19 Cases in Monroe County Wednesday

The COVID infection trend in Monroe County is still heading the wrong way.

The county Health Department says there were 286 new confirmed cases between Tuesday and Wednesday.

That raised the seven-day average of new cases to 214 per day.

The seven-day rate of daily positive tests rose to 2.7 percent.

Nearly 60 percent of the new cases were in people under 40.
