Man Pleads Guilty in 2019 Rochester Homicide

A man accused of shooting and killing a man following an armed robbery in Rochester, is pleading guilty to the crime.

The Monroe County DA’s office says 24-year-old Devonte Bouie has pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in connection with the death of James Green.

Prosecutors say Bouie forcibly stole money from Green on McKinley Street in September of 2019, then shot him in the chest.

Bouie is facing 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
