The area's two major hospital networks are further relaxing their COVID rules for visitors.
UR Medicine is now allowing two designated visitors to visit patients on the same day. It's up to each hospital to determine whether both visitors can be present at the same time.
The Rochester Regional Health hospitals are now allowing up to two visitors per patient per day, for up to four hours each. However, only one visitor is permitted at a time.
The exception is for pediatrics and maternity; two support people can be present around the clock.
