Alex Rideout, Convicted of Evidence Tampering, Released from Prison

Alex Rideout has been released from prison according to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision website.

The Pittsford man was convicted of helping cover-up the killing of his father five years ago, and had been granted parole earlier this month.

Rideout was sentenced to up to eight years in prison for evidence tampering.

His brother, Colin, and mother, Laura, were convicted of murder in the death of Craig Rideout.

Rideout's body was found disfigured by acid in Yates County in 2016, hours after he was killed in his home in Penfield.
