Rochester Council Proposes Measures to Curb Dirt Bikes on Streets

Rochester City Council Member Jose Peo is proposing legislation to curb the illegal use of dirt bikes and ATVs in the city.

A man and a boy were killed in separate dirt bike crashes this week.

One proposal calls for new and increased fines and impound fees for confiscated dirt bikes and ATVs that are driven illegally on the streets.

Another would allow city police to modify their "no pursuit" policy -- possibly with the use of drones, or with a portal for citizens to report addresses where the vehicles are being stored.
