Alex Rideout Granted Parole after Being Convicted of Evidence Tampering

The Pittsford man convicted of helping cover-up the killing of his father five years ago has been granted parole.

The "Democrat & Chronicle" reports 23-year-old Alex Rideout will be released at the end of the month.

Rideout was sentenced to up to eight years in prison for evidence tampering.

His brother, Colin, and mother, Laura, were convicted of murder in the death of Craig Rideout.

Rideout's body was found disfigured by acid in Yates County in 2016, hours after he was killed in his home in Penfield.
