Wal-Mart Assailant Pleads Guilty to Assault Charge

The man who apparently stabbed a woman at random at the Wal-Mart in Geneseo has pleaded guilty to a first degree assault charge.

Livingston County District Attorney Greg McCaffrey says Gregory Cunningham will be sentenced June first, and will be held in the Livingston County Jail until then. As part of his plea agreement, the expected sentence will be 20 years in state prison.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says Cunningham went on a rampage in the store on June 9th last year, stabbing a woman multiple times with a knife in the store. She suffered numerous injuries including nerve damage.
