The New York Times is reporting that senior aides to Governor Cuomo rewrote a report containing the number of pandemic-related deaths in nursing homes.
The original report, authored by state health officials in June of last year, stated that more than 9,000 had died.
Allegedly, the governor and his aides had already been hiding figures for months prior.
The figures reported may have been as much as 50% lower than the true total at the point.
