NYS Lawmakers Voting on Bills to Reform Nursing Home Facility Protocols

New York State Democrats are voting today on several bills designed to reform nursing home facility protocols.

The votes come as the probe continues to ramp up into the Cuomo administration's handling of COVID nursing home deaths.

"The New York Post" reports ten bills in today's vote package will address accurate patient reporting, patient-to staff-ratios, and proper visitation standards.

State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins says the reforms are needed to increase transparency and raise the standard of care at facilities devastated by the pandemic.
