State Eases COVID-19 Quarantine Guidelines for Vaccine Recipients

State officials are easing quarantine requirements for people who have received the coronavirus vaccine.

That conforms to updated CDC guidance, which applies to people who have received both doses of the vaccine.

If at least two weeks have passed since the second shot, quarantine guidelines no longer apply for people who come into close contact with someone who tested positive.

Still, Governor Cuomo and Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker argue all New Yorkers should still wear masks and socially-distance until "herd immunity" is reached.
