2021 Rochester's International Jazz Festival Could Move to RIT Campus

Organizers are tentatively planning to move Rochester's International Jazz Festival this year from downtown Rochester to the RIT campus in Henrietta.

And instead of the customary festival dates in June, this year's festival is tentatively set for later in the summer.

Planners say the move to RIT would allow more room for audience spacing. and the later date would allow more people to be vaccinated.

The festival would run from July 30 to August 7. The plans will depend on public health guidelines for travel and large gatherings.

Last year's festival was canceled by the pandemic. A final decision on holding the festival this year will be made in the spring.
