Former Rochester Police Chief Gives Testimony About Daniel Prude Case

Former Rochester Police Chief La'Ron Singletary has testified he spoke with Mayor Lovely Warren twice in the hours after Daniel Prude was restrained by police and became unconscious last year.

Between the calls, he saw two body camera videos. And he told the mayor in the second call that there did not appear to be egregious conduct by the officers.

Singletary says he described for the mayor how Prude was restrained, that Prude was covered with a spit sock, and that he started to vomit before he became unconscious. He said he told Warren the prognosis was not good, but Warren did not ask to see the videos.
