Cuomo Wants Faster Vaccinations at Nursing Homes

Governor Cuomo says the state is looking to speed up coronavirus vaccinations within nursing homes.

He argues the federal program isn't moving fast enough for his administration's liking.

State officials hope to administer an additional 234,000 dosages of the vaccine at long-term care facilities by the end of the week.

That would mean 85% of the state's nursing residents had received the first dose.

Cuomo says once 85% of residents are vaccinated, the state will be able to get the first dose to the remaining 15% within one additional week.
