Close Races Reversed After Over 100,000 Absentee Ballots Counted

The Monroe County Board of Elections has finished counting more than 100,000 absentee ballots and a couple of close races have reversed.

Democrat Jen Lunsford has declared victory in the 135th Assembly District.

She trailed incumbent Republican Mark Johns on Election Night, but she received nearly two-thirds of the absentee votes to pull ahead.

In the race for Surrogate Court Judge, incumbent Democrat Chris Ciaccio has declared victory over Republican Elena Cariola.
