One Person Arrested During Protest Outside of the Public Safety Building

Rochester police say they made one arrest when protestors took down the barricades outside the Public Safety Building.

It happened last night while about 25 people were protesting there.

Police say 24-year-old Matthew Gould, of Irondequoit, cut through the barricades and officers tried to secure them. As he was being arrested, another protestor advanced at officers and police fired a single Pepper ball round before the man ran off.

Gould is charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration
