There's no official word so far on the name of the man found dead in the Erie Canal in Fairport.
The body was found yesterday by a person walking along the towpath trail.
Fairport Police say the body appears to be that of a white man, around 60 years old.
It was partially submerged between Parker Street and Turk Hill Road.
Police don't suspect foul play but say it's early in the investigation.
