Wheatland-Chili Schools Probe Suspicious Incident

The Wheatland-Chili Central School District says they notified police after a person identifying themselves as a school staff member, showed up at a students home and asked to take the student on a field trip.

According to school officials, the incident occurred shortly before 3 pm this afternoon and the person was asked to leave.

The person is described as a man in his early 40's, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

He was reportedly wearing brown rimmed glasses and is balding.

He introduced himself as James Marlborough and was dressed in a jean jacket, gray dress pants, and black dress boots.

He was driving an older model dark gray Honda Civic.

School officials say the district would never send someone to a remove a student from their home.
