Arrest Made Following Deadly Crash on NYS Thruway in Wheatland

A tractor-trailer driver from New Jersey has been arrested for allegedly causing a deadly crash last month on the Thruway in Wheatland.

Quentin Campbell is charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.

He has been extradited and is being held in Monroe County without bail.

State troopers say Campbell made a U-turn across the Thruway's westbound lanes around 4 a.m. September 4, when his tractor-trailer was hit by a westbound car.

The driver and passenger in the car were killed. And authorities say Campbell drove off.
