Castile Man Gets 25 Years for Assaulting Wyoming County Deputy

A Castile man who pleaded guilty to attacking the Wyoming County Sheriff nearly two years ago has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Lynn Hall pleaded guilty in June to a charge of attempted murder for attempting to kill Sheriff Greg Rudolph in December 2018.

Hall began tailgating the sheriff as he drove to work that morning, and flashing his lights.

When the sheriff pulled over, Rudolph attacked him, tried to get his gun and threatened to kill him with a knife.

Good Samaritans and State Police arrived at the scene and Hall was arrested.
