Rochester City Council Holds "Listening Session" Regarding Daniel Prude

Rochester City Council members got an earful from citizens during an online listening session about the death of Daniel Prude -- and the recent protests.

Michael Edelman told the council he was demonstrating peacefully on September 4th and 5th when he was shot with pepper balls. Edelman said police did not follow their own guidelines for use of "nonlethal weapons."

University of Rochester student Sonia McGaffican said she resented being labeled an "outside agitator" by police. She is from Alaska but now lives in Rochester.

There were also people who wondered why the Rochester Police are being demonized.
