LCSO: Remains Found in February Are That of Fugitive David Clyde Morgan

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that human remains found in a field off State Route 20a are that of fugitive David Clyde Morgan.

Morgan ran into the woods near Geneseo following a traffic stop in July of 2018, after pointing a gun at the Geneseo Police Officer who had pulled him over.

Authorities say the remains were found in a field on Cuylerville Road back in February, and a firearm was also found near the remains.

The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the body last week and ruled the manner of death a suicide, which authorities say was consistent with evidence found at the scene.
