A woman who was charged in connection with a crash in Gates that injured two children has been sentenced.
Letoya Palmo, was sentenced today to 2 1/2 years in prison.
Palmo was driving on Lyle Avenue in Gates last year when her car drifted into a parking lot, hitting a wagon in which a father was pulling his two young children.
Both children were seriously injured.
Palmo has admitted to being distracted by her phone.
She pleaded guilty earlier this year to all eight counts against her, including assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
