Rochester Police say an assault on Friday is being investigated as a possible hate crime, in coordination with the Monroe County District Attorney's Office. Police say a 30-year-old and a 23-year-old were beaten by two men who approached them on Denver Street and began arguing with them over one of the victims' sexual orientation. The 30-year-old ended up in the hospital. Police are asking anyone with information on this crime to call 911.
